Cornhusker Public Power District is pleased to announce the selection of Kyndell L. Penick as the next CEO/GM of the District.
Kyndell comes to Cornhusker PPD from Victory Electric Cooperative in Dodge City, Kansas, where he most recently served as Vice President of Safety & Key Accounts. He brings over a decade of leadership experience in public power and utility operations.
In his role at Victory Electric, Kyndell led the cooperative’s Safety, Key Accounts, Substation, and Plant Operations programs. He played a key role in major infrastructure and industrial development projects, including negotiating and managing an $8 million construction project and helping secure one of the largest industrial projects in Kansas history.
His career began as a Journeyman Lineman, and he has advanced through roles in key accounts management, engineering support, and executive leadership. His professional experience includes contract negotiation, safety program development, performance management, emergency response planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Kyndell holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Purdue University Global and is currently pursuing an MBA at Pittsburg State University. He is also a Certified Key Account Executive (CKAE) and holds an OSHA 30 Certification.
In addition to his professional roles, Kyndell serves as Vice President of the Kansas Safety Coordinators of Electric Cooperatives and the Ford County/Dodge City Economic Development Board.
